Whenever I get a chance to re-purpose my marketing content, I consider that a win-win. I’ve been doing that more these days and Talk About It Here in this blog post about hashtags. to keep the two-for-one momentum going, here’s a collection of marketing Tips and business Advice I shared in a recent newsletter.

Marketing TiP: Try a new or tried-and-true marketing approach
Today, there’s no shortage of ways to promote our businesses. If you’re stuck in a rut doing the same thing over and over, experiment with something new! Create a video to share on social media. You and your audience might enjoy it so much that you decide you need a YouTube channel. Or go old-school with direct mail. I’ve been mailing “don’t forget me” packages to a few prospects with my business card, treats and a personal note. One of the recipients and I reconnected last week and now plan to work together. Did the lumpy mail (that’s a throw-back term right there!) help? I’d like to think so.
Marketing Tip: Share your knowledge and grow your visibility
Can you share your expertise on the big (an industry event or blog) or small (featured speaker at a networking meeting) stage? Plan to do this at least once between now and December 31. The effort you put into it benefits you, your business and brand. I did this when I was a guest on the Marketing Mentor podcast. Even though it made me a tad nervous prepping for it, the experience was fun. Want to hear me do my thing? Here’s the episode: How (Exactly) to Use Generosity as a Marketing Tool.
BIZ Tip: Hire a coach AND/or find an accountability partner Or Group
Are you avoiding important activities and actions that could make a difference for your business? I admit I was. So I signed up with a coach back in January to help keep me accountable. And it’s working! You don’t have to wait until next January to do the same. Ask your network if they know a good coach or search for one online. I hear the SBA can be a good resource, too.
